Ali is a retired engineer, a philanthropist, an adventure and expedition photographer of 30 years. As an explorer he has photographed the animal world, indigenes tribes and ordinary people from all over the world, which have been featured in various magazines and publications. He is the author of the book "Faces of the World". He has been a contributor to many children's organizations through his art and financial support.
Charlie is a Broker/Owner of Team South Bay Real Estate in Torrance California. She has extensive marketing and public relation background. Her organization was the first to firm to commit to helping the foundation financially on ongoing basis.
Jaleh Gularte is a tax accountant in Los Angeles area. She graduated from the University of Southern California and resides in Manhattan Beach, California. Jahleh works with several nonprofits in the Los Angeles area and had always enjoyed working with children.
Robert Mc Gibbon
Robert Mc Gibbon works for Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) as a manager of two offices in southern California. He has a background in finance and accounting. Mr. Mc gibbon regularly volunteers at his church as Sunday School Teacher where he interacts with children ages two through five. Additionally, he is actively involved with his three children and their many art, sport, and school activities.
Rika is a Special Education Teacher at 186th Street Elementary School in Gardena California. Rika is a former teacher in Germany and she has been a teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District since 2000. She loves to do arts and crafts with children in the hospitals. She also enjoys bringing art ideas from school into the hospitals and showing off the work of the patients in school.
Alma is a teacher at 186th Street Elementary School in Gardena California. She is a dedicated teacher who has been a steady help working with the kids with cancer at Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach, California.
Dr Ray (Fereidun) Shokatfard (children call him Dr. “S”)
Dr Shokatfard, a native of Iran is the founder of Heartful Children’s Foundation. He is a former professor of Agricultural Economics, an entrepreneur, and an artist and with love for children. He has found his calling to go to various hospitals and do artwork with the kids. He is author of the book “Colors of Paradise” , which is a collection of his art and poetry, published in 2005. In 2009 he published the book, called “ Colors of Love and Peace” -, a collection of artwork of the students of 186th Street Elementary School in Gardena California- then he went on to publish the book called “Colors of Joy and Happiness” in 2013, which is an instructional art book. The Dalai Lama graced both children’s book by writing a foreword. Both books are being distributed be 18th Street Elementary School and Heartful Children’s Foundation to the children’s hospitals in US and abroad.
